| Lovely Procida is small enough to cross on foot in half a morning. The air is filled with the heady scent of lemon blossom, and the lemons produced are the finest in Italy, thin-skinned and heavily perfumed. Large old pomegranate trees shade the dusty lanes leading from one quiet village to the next. Most people here still make their living from the sea, either as fishermen or as sailors.
